Christmas Comes Early with Four New Downtown Trees

Last Updated 12/19/2024

Main Street Chillicothe is excited to share some wonderful news—we’ve added four beautiful new trees to our downtown district! Santa made an early delivery this year, lightening his load ahead of the busy holiday season.

Two of the trees now enhance the north side of Investor’s Bank and the south side of State Bank, while the others grace Locust Street in the Kelly Poling Arts District. These Armstrong Gold Maples were thoughtfully sourced from Rosemary Hill in Trenton, MO, and expertly planted by Aaron's Lawn Care & Landscaping. This addition is part of our ongoing commitment to making downtown Chillicothe a vibrant and inviting destination.

Urban trees bring so much to a community. They provide welcome shade, reduce street noise, and create a more enjoyable atmosphere for those who live, work, or visit downtown. They also increase property values, attract businesses and shoppers, and contribute to a more desirable and livable environment. Beyond their practical benefits, trees offer a connection to nature, reducing stress and boosting overall well-being.

Caring for trees in an urban setting comes with unique challenges, from limited root space to reduced water supply. Main Street Chillicothe is dedicated to ensuring these trees thrive by providing consistent care and maintenance. Our downtown greenery is an investment in the future, and we are committed to keeping it healthy and beautiful for years to come.

We invite you to take a stroll downtown to admire these new additions and enjoy the charm they bring to our Main Street district. These trees are truly a gift to our community, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and the enduring beauty of Chillicothe.
