Kid’s Christmas at the Courthouse

Incoming news from the North Pole - Main Street Chillicothe has been given direct orders from Santa Claus to help kids find the perfect gift for their loved ones this holiday season. Main Street Chillicothe is excited to announce the return of its beloved Kid’s Christmas event, bringing festive cheer and holiday magic to children and families across the community. This year’s festivities will be taking place at the Livingston County Courthouse on December 6th, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 pm. 

At Kids Christmas children are invited to come and shop for Mom, Dad, Aunt, Teacher, or any other loved one on their list. There is always a diverse range of gifts available for purchase, catering to the interests and preferences of different family members. Parents and adults send their kids with cash for purchases and typically wait at the north entrance of the Courthouse for them to finish. Helper elves are on hand to provide the little shoppers with friendly, patient, assistance in making thoughtful choices and answering any questions. Downtown merchants set up miniature stores and provided specially priced gifts under $15 for purchase. This ensures that children can easily find items within their budget and makes the event inclusive for all families. 

Kids can make their own complementary Christmas cards at the free card-making station. Free gift wrapping will be provided so kids can leave with gifts they picked out, paid for, and wrapped all on their own. It is a fun event and Main Street Chillicothe plans to keep this tradition alive for years to come.
